Anyone who comes to Ammaji's Ayurveda Center today and gets to know Balendu probably cannot imagine what a varied life he can look back on.

Balendu was born into a spiritual family, the son and grandson of two well-known preachers. Through this inheritance, he, the eldest son, grew into the role of religious guru and gave his first lectures at the age of 13.

Over the years, his following grew to several thousand people who came to his lectures across India. In times of silence, Balendu meditated in silence, but he wanted to isolate himself from all outside influences - and so he built a building that was henceforth called 'the cave'. Completely isolated from the outside world, he retreated to this cave to practice mantra meditation for three years and 108 days.

After this intensive retreat, Balendu realized that we humans are all on the same level, no one higher and no one lower - and so he didn't want to continue being a guru! He began his travels to Europe and the rest of the world, where he gave yoga and Ayurveda workshops, worked with psychotherapists, doctors and alternative practitioners and gave people his advice in individual sessions.

With his positive outlook on life and his years of experience with thousands of people, he has developed a perspective that not only helps you see things differently, but also differs from the typical life coach or life consultant.

After slowly but steadily moving away from religion and even the idea of a God, he knows about the importance of interpersonal love and tolerance, but at the same time is realistic and gives solid advice.
